What happens when you run out of room in your checkbook register?
August 14th, 2009 by admin
As a reader of personal finance blogs, I’m always interested in finding ways to better manage my money or save my hard-earned pennies. Smart Money Daily answers the question, ‘what happens when you run out of a checkbook transaction register?
The blog outlines several options – either order more checks and get a free one, order another one but pay shipping, make your own, or ask your bank. Out of these options, the only one that really seems ‘free’ would be to make your own, but the author didn’t include any links to sample versions. In general, it didn’t seem like most of these options were really free but at least it included useful information about how many entry lines are included in each register. Given the increased usage of debit cards and other types of electronic transactions that no longer require check writing, this information will help folks manage their checkbook registers a little better.
