The Odd Job Keeps Coming, a Friend’s Eulogy

I do a lot of writing, and a lot of acquaintances know this. I’ve actually been asked to write eulogies for strangers before. The family didn’t think they would be able to complete the task through their grief. At first, I thought I was in over my head. How do you properly remember someone you didn’t know? I spent some time talking to the family and asking for stories, personality traits, and anything else they wanted to mention. Then I simply pretended I was writing a eulogy for a friend. The approach worked, and the eulogies I’ve written must have been good, because I keep getting asked to do it again. I never thought I’d keep getting such an odd job!
