Bird-watching in the Adirondack Mountains
October 7th, 2009 by admin
As an avid bird-watcher, I’m a huge fan of the Adirondack Mountains. Every year, I take a week vacation from work to drive up with my camera and binoculars so I can catch a glimpse of some amazing wildlife and birds! Lake Placid’s Whiteface Mountain is the best spot I’ve found so far for bird-watching, and I’ve found the area has a lot of great hotels and lodges to offer as well. The best part is that if for some reason I decide I don’t want to go bird-watching one day, there is so much more to do in the Adirondack Mountains! Hiking, biking, fishing, golfing, and water-skiing are all available to do in the area, and there are plenty of places to rent equipment from so I don’t have to worry about bringing those types of things with me. I highly suggest checking out the Adirondack Mountains to any sports or animal lover.
